Its blade is tempered and hardened spring steel, authentically etched with exact Elven runes seen in films. Its hand guard and pommel are plated in genuine silver, authentically weathered and worn. Distressed hardwood grip features a hand-applied, silver vine inlay. In keeping with a description by Bilbo Baggins in Fellowship of the Ring, Sting was painstakingly manufactured to be light as a feather. This Sting FX Collectible is a full scale prop replica of Sting given from Bilbo Baggins to Frodo Baggins in the trilogy of feature films. This electronic collectible features a glowing bright blue blade and motion sensor controlled sound effects: four different clashes and a pulsing hum. With a metal hilt and pommel, this looks and feels like the real thing. Measures 27 x 7 x 1.5 inches. When you wield Frodo's trusty weapon, you'll know when Orcs are near because it glows blue! Not only that, but you'll experience a clash and clang of battle with digitally recorded sound effects controlled by a motion sensor inside this replica. A sliding switch on handle toggles among 3 modes: "OFF," "ON," and "ORC." If switch is in "ON" position, Sting sword emits clash and clang sounds when struck. In "ORC" mode Sting hums and glows blue as a warning that Orcs are in the vicinity. Display base looks like carved stone with stands that look like medieval wrought iron to hold this sword in place. It can be adjusted so that your collectible can be displayed on a flat surface or hanging on a wall. Sting is cast from molds used to create actual movie prop used in the trilogy and replicated in exact "Hobbit" proportions as original prop. Near end of the second age of "Middle-Earth," Narsil's blade was shattered as Elendil fell during a Last Alliance of Elves and Men in a great battle with Sauron. Isildur, Elendil's son, then used this broken hilt of Narsil to cut the One Ring from Sauron's finger, breaking the bonds of his power, banishing his evil shadow into darkness. Antique silver plated metal handle parts with 24-K gold plated fittings and genuine leather-wrapped grip. Engraved on the pommel are runes in the Elven Language of Sindarin that say, "Narsil is my name, a mighty sword; Telchar made me in Nogrod."

This full-size replica of Anduril: Sword of Aragorn is strictly limited to 5000 pieces worldwide and each is individually serialized to insure authenticity. The inscription down the length of its blade on both sides is in the Tolkien language of Quenya, written in runes of Eregion, that say (translated), "I am Anduril who was Narsil, sword of Elendil.
