For years there were only a handful of Middle-earth collectibles and products available. These calendars were one of the main items to be had. There are generally four varieties of them; Tolkien Calendars, J.R.R. Tolkien Calendars, The Hobbit Calendars, and The Lord of the Rings Calendars. The two majoe exceptions to this rule is that occassionally a Silmarillion Calendar or Beyond Bree calendar was issued.

After the movie trilogy ended the number of varities offered began to dwindle, but a fair number of them were issued compared to the pre-trilogy years.

Here we have a near return to the normalcy of the pre-movie times. Back to basically the standard issue Tolkien Calendars and seemingly the permanent addition of a Lord of the Rings line.
