Graeme Anthony Pewter
June 2012
Price: $170
20 cms high (8 inches)
840 grams
Keeping the area between the Misty Mountains and Mirkwood safe, and the trade routes open, are the Man/Bear clan of the Beornings. Head of the clan is the ever grumpy Beorn. Living not far from the
Carrock on the western side of the Misty Mountains, Beorn would probably prefer to tend his bees, instead he is frequently at odds with the Goblins (Orcs) of the Misty Mountains.
Produced by the designer of the Royal Selangor line of Lord of the Rings Goblets, these two new additions to the line are not associated with Royal Selangor. In an email correspondence with Dr.
Graeme Anthony he said "Because of an ongoing difference of opinion with Selangor, (not being true enthusiasts, they are only interested in film releases and mass sales) I have not offered them
the rights to make these goblets."

Pictured Left Top: Silmarillion - Gondolin
Royal Selangor
9.5 cm
Most breathtaking Elven City built in Middle-Earth. It was known as the Hidden Kingdom and was the last Elf Kingdom to survive the War of the Jewels. It's king, Turgon, wisely chose to conceal
this city from Morgoth with the encircling mountains. Eventually Gondolin was ravaged by Orcs, Trolls and fire-breathing dragons, all driven on by the Balrog of Morgoth. Great care is taken to
sculpt the stone walls of Gondolin to depict a strong and impregnable fortress. Mountains and Dragons are skillfully crafted on heavily textured background.
Pictured Left Bottom: The Hobbit - Smaug
Royal Selangor
10 cm
Smaug was the mightiest of all dragons to come out of the Grey Mountains in the north in 28th century of Third Age. This vast winged Fire Drake, named Smaug the Golden, laid waste to the Dwarves of
Erebor, and then Dale on Long Lake. Smaug then ruled unchallenged for two centuries in the Lonely Mountain. This realistically sculptured depiction of
Smaug forms the stem. Huge bat-like wings curved
upwards as a show of strength, to support a heavily textured cup.
About this Series: All pieces in this series were designed by Graeme Anthony in the late 1990's.
