Orthanc Orc

This Orthanc orc is wielding a sword in his right hand and shield in the left with an upraised hand on the shield.
This Orthanc Orc is more properly referred to as a Uruk-Hai Orc. Bred by Saruman in the depths of Isengard, the creatures were crosses between Men and the lesser Orcs of Mordor. Unlike Mordor Orcs, the Uruk-Hai could withstand sunlight, and were substantially larger. Most would perish with the host that assailed Helms Deep in Rohan.

Balrog of Moria

This Rawcliffe figurine of The Balrog of Moria represents the only survivor of a race of creatures that were once a fairly numerous demon on the face of Middle-Earth. It was in the First Age that the Balrogs were originally summoned by Morgoth the Enemy to serve in his plans for dominion. Facing repeated attacks from the High Elves, Morgoth assembled the forces of darkness around him in Thangorodrim, it was at this time that Morgoth also twisted the Elves he captured into the creatures we know as Orcs. When Thangorodrim was broken, and Morgoth cast into the Void, this particular Balrog fled to the roots of the mountains under the Mines of Moria seeking perpetual darkness. The bane of the dwarves in Moria, this Balrog was finally brought down in the Third Age by Gandalf in the confrontation begun on the Bridge of Khazad-Dum.

Boromir

A mighty Captain of the Armies of Gondor, Boromir seeks answers to a dream that both he and his brother (Faramir) are having. He leaves for Rivendell believing that the answers may be found in the House of Elrond. Once there, Boromir is appointed to be one of the representatives of Men within the company known as The Fellowship of the Ring. Always seeking the defense of Gondor from the constant probing attacks of the enemy from Mordor, Boromir falsely believes that the One Ring could be a tool to strengthen Gondor. He seeks to take it by force from Frodo in a moment of weakness upon Amon Hen. After a brave stand against a company of Uruk-Hai, Boromirs body is laid to rest in one of the companies canoes, and sent over the Falls of Rauros, the mighty Horn of Gondor split in two.

Frodo Baggins

With the tragic death of his parents, in a boating accident on the Brandywine River, the young Frodo Baggins finds himself adopted by his uncle Bilbo of Hobbiton. Taking up residence in Bag End, the young Hobbit shares some of Bilbo's pension for adventure. It is on his uncles 111th Birthday that Frodo will find himself the new owner of both Bag End and a Ring. Following the events of The War of the Ring, Frodo will sail from the Grey Havens to the Undying West along with other ringbearers.

Galadriel

Queen of Lothlorien, and mightiest of the Eldar still left in Middle-Earth, Galadriel ironically kept the Golden Wood hidden from the Eye of Sauron by the power of Nenya. Sister to Finrod, Galadriel and the members of her House of Noldor will ignore the orders of the Valar and make the passage to Middle-Earth in order to make war on Morgoth in the First Age. Originally forbidden from returning over the seas to the Undying West, in recognition of her efforts against Sauron, Galadriel will eventually be allowed to return. She sails with Bilbo, Frodo, and others, from the Grey Havens at the end of the Third Age.

Gimli

It is no small thing that Gimli, son of Gloin, will be allowed to sail to the Undying West along with Legolas in the Fourth Age. The mutual distrust between Elves and Dwarves has a long history. It was even more remarkable that these two were friends given where they each came from. The Dwarves of the Lonely Mountain, and the Wood-Elves of Mirkwood, shared much history and very little of it was happy. After the restoration of Erebor, Gloin had become an important dwarf in the Kingdom and was subsequently a fitting choice to be sent to the Council of Elrond in Rivendell. Gimli went along to accompany his father for the trip. Once there, Gimli is appointed representative of the race of dwarves within The Fellowship of the Ring. After the War of the Ring, Gimli will become the King of the Glittering Caves of Aglarond behind the mighty Rohan fortress of Helms Deep. In time, he will set sail with his friend Legolas.

Legolas Greenleaf

Actually the name Legolas MEANS "green-leaf" in the Sindarian form of the Elvish language. Son of King Thranduil of the woodland realm of Mirkwood, Legolas is sent to Rivendell to inform Elrond, and more likely Aragorn, that Gollum had escaped from the watchful but compassionate eyes of the wood-elves. It was chance that his arrival was timed for the start of the Council of Elrond. Chosen as the representative of the Elves within the company, Legolas becomes a member of The Fellowship of the Ring.

Lord of the Nazgul

This Lord of the Nazgul figurine recreates the epic conflict and events that take place on the Pelennor Fields before the Gates of Minas Tirith. The Fell Beast of Mordor stands upon the body of Snowmane, with the broken King Theoden underneath, and the Witch-King of Angmar perched atop it. Eowyn, disguised as Dernhelm, stands before the Witch-King ready to defend her dying uncle, and the Hobbit Merry Brandybuck stands just alongside. It was Glorfindel, an age earlier at the breaking of Angmar, who would predict that the fall of the Witch-King would not come at the hands of a Man.

Merry Brandybuck

One of the two younger Hobbits of the Shire appointed to The Fellowship of the Ring, Merry Brandybuck would play more than a small role in the outcome of the War of the Ring. It was perhaps one of the greatest strokes of luck in the War against Sauron that Merry Brandybuck should find his particular sword that day in the Barrow Downs. In all likelihood, no other blade would have caused any harm to the Witch-King other than the one he carried. After the War, Merry would become Master of Brandybuck Hall.

Pippin Took

One of the four original "conspirators" that accompany Frodo to his new home in Crickhollow. As a member of the Citadel Guard in Minas Tirith, Pippen Took will actually slay a huge troll on the Pelennor Fields. He will also play a crucial role in the overthrow of Saruman in the Shire before, during, and after the Battle of Bywater. In the years after the war, Pippen Took is appointed a counselor to the North-Kingdom under King Elessar, and made Thrain of the Shire.

Samwise Gamgee

A lover of soil, and all things that grow, Sam Gamgee would seem an unlikely Hobbit to be a hero in anything. However, the qualities of friendship and loyalty that Gandalf saw in Sam Gamgee are the same qualities that would make him a hero within the borders of Mordor. With Frodo fallen under the weight of the Ring, it is really Sam Gamgee that gets the two into Mount Doom. Following the war, he will become Mayor of Hobbiton, and as a ringbearer he will eventually sail to the Undying Lands with the permission of the Elves.

Eomer was Third Marshall of the Mark. When his parents died, both he and Eowyn would be raised by King Theoden. Elrond

Elrond was the bearer of the greatest of the three rings given to the Elves by Sauron, Vilya. The Son of Earendil, Elrond was present on the Dagorlad Plains as a Captain fighting under the Banner of Gil-Galad. In the middle of the Second Age Elrond would found Rivendell (Imladris) and use this hidden valley to keep safe the heirs of Isildur from the power of Sauron. Gandalf

Using his wisdom as a shield against the machinations of both Saruman and Sauron for the benefit of the free peoples of Middle-Earth. After the war Gandalf will sail from the Grey Havens to the Undying West with the mighty Elven ringbearers (Cirdan, Elrond, and Galadriel). Tom Bombadil

This pewter figurine of Tom Bombadil stands 2.5 inches tall on a 1.5 inch circular base. Each pewter figurine features a character upon a base engraved with the characters name; in this case "Tom" meaning Tom Bombadil.
Known by many names to the different peoples of Middle-Earth Tom Bombadil is easily the most enigmatic character in Middle-Earth, He was oldest of all living creatures; "Tom was here before the rivers and the trees; Tom remembers the first raindrop and the first acorn". With his wife Goldberry, Tom Bombadil spends the Second and Third Ages living on the outskirts of The Old Forest, just outside the Shire, where he was well known to the Hobbits of Buckland who sang songs and told tales of this creature of the woods. In Fellowship of the Ring he handled the One Ring without care or concern for its nature, it had no effect on him at all.

Goldberry

This Goldberry figurine is approximately 2 inches tall on a 1.5 inch circular base.
Goldberry was known to Tom Bombadil as "River-Daughter". She is wife of Old Tom Bombadil and the daughter of the River-Woman of the Withywindle. Together, Goldberry and Tom tend to the Old Forest, garden, and sing. Very little else is known about Goldberry.
