Shortly after Bilbo finds the One Ring, Gollum and Bilbo meet for the first time. Gollum decides to challenge Bilbo to a riddle compitition if Bilbo wins Gollum shows him the way out of the caves, if Bilbo looses Gollum has him for lunch! LO 19 - Eowyn 50mm, 70g €16.95 This figure depicts Eowyn when she was challenging the witch king at the battle of Pelennor fields. She has removed her helmet to reveal her self to be women not a man, which has made the witch king uncertain about his future as "no man shall kill the witch king". Miniature painted by Joe Fahey LO 21 - Eomer Third marshal of the Mark €16.95 78mm, 70g Eomer, 3rd Marshall of the Mark, nephew of King Theoden, proclaimed king of the Mark by the dying Theoden at the battle of Plennor fields. He aided Aragorn and his companions in the search for Merry and Pippin by loaning them horses. Miniature painted by Joe Fahey LO 22 - Theoden king of the Mark €16.95 60mm, 70g Theoden - Kindly king of the Mark, lead the fight in Helm's Deep and later in Plennor fields. He honoured his promises to Gondor. He had been controlled by the treacherous council of Grima Wormtongue until freed by Gandalf. He died fighting the Witch-King at Plennor fields. As councillor of Theoden, he manipulated Theoden into believing he (Theoden) was powerless against Mordor and that Saruman was an ally. Eventually turned on his master, Saruman, while in The Shire, and was killed by hobbit arrows at Bag-End. He was part of Saruman's experiment of cross breeding orcs with humans to be able to withstand daylight. Miniature painted by Joe Fahey. LO 25 - Gildor Inglorion €16.95 58mm, 70g Gildor Inglorion: When Frodo and his companions were nearly discovered by a black rider, a group of elves approached on their way to the Grey Havens and scared the creature away. They then gave shelter to the hobbits for the night. The leader of the group was Gildor. Miniature painted by Joe Fahey LO 26 - Faramir €16.95 60mm, 70g Faramir: The younger son of Denethor, steward of Gondor, Faramir was a contrast to his brave but headstrong brother, Boromir. Whilst showing an equal courage, Faramir was imbued with the wisdom which his brother lacked. He led the rangers of Ithilien during the opening phases of the war of the Ring, and met and aided Frodo and Sam during their journey to the Black land. Miniature painted by Peta Hudson LO 27 - Easterling Chieftain €16.95 58mm, 70g Easterling Chieftain: Mordor used other people and races in his armies as well as his terrible orcs and goblins. Some races were from the East, controlled by Sauron and his Ringwraiths. These people worked and fought to support Mordor. But that does not mean that they were evil men, just different and probably tricked and enslaved into serving the One Enemy with promises of more land and wealth. They were fierce fighters and even when Sauron was destroyed they continued to struggle against Gondor for many years. Miniature painted by Peta Hudson LO 28 - Celeborn €16.95 62mm, 70g Celeborn: Lord Celeborn lived in the city of Galadhrim with Galadriel, the Lady of Lorien. He was with Galadriel when the Fellowship arrived (minus Gandalf) and greeted them. He later aided them in their travels by supplying them with boats and directions. He also warned the party of the danger of entering Fangorn Forest. Miniature painted by Eileen Kelleher LO 29 - Lord of the Nazgul €16.95 58mm, 70g Lord of the Nazgul: Chief of all the servants of Sauron, the Witch-king (Lord of the Nazgul) was, in origin, one of the black Numenoreans who the Dark-lord seduced to his own service by the gift of one of the Nine rings. The rings conferred great power upon their wearers but also subjugated them forever to the will of Sauron. As well as his great talents in sorcery the Witch-king was Sauron's ablest military commander. He founded the Northern Kingdom of Angmar and was the architect of both Arthedain's and Cardolan's destruction. He also successfully wrestled from the Southern kingdom of Gondor the great citadel of Minas Ithil. He was slain finally by Eowyn (with Merry's help) in the great battle in Gondor. Miniature painted by Peta Hudson LO 30 - Frodo and Sam at Mount Doom €16.95 44mm, 70g Frodo and Sam: Frodo was the Ringbearer and his gardener and friend Sam accompanied him to Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring. The Ring was made by Sauron thousands of years ago and he had poured much of his power and essence into it. It had been cut from his finger in The Last Alliance battle in Mordor and was carried by a series of Ringbearers until it came into the possession of Frodo Baggins. The ring was the key to the defeat of Sauron, and could only be destroyed in the fires of Mt.Doom where it had been forged. However it eroded Frodo's spirit and Sam ended up carrying him the last bit of the journey up the mountain. Frodo was too exhausted to walk himself. Miniature painted by Eileen Kelleher
