"Gandalf on Gwaihir Over Helms Deep," by famed Tolkien artist, Alan Lee,
is the third in a series of framed collectible fine
art. This professionally framed, limited edition Gicleé will be signed by
artist, Alan Lee as well as Ian McKellen, who portrayed Gandalf in
the trilogy, and by Academy Award winner Richard
Taylor of Weta Workshop. Depicted is the flight of Gandalf the
Grey from Isengard over the stone fortifications of Helm's Deep in Rohan.
Gwaihir, Lord of the Eagles, bears the Wizard to freedom and onward
in his quest to protect the freedom of all people of Middle-earth. This
is a scene which was cut in the early days of the scripts' development
and, can therefore, only be seen in conceptual art form of Alan Lee.
This unique limited edition and hand signed Gicleé is displayed within a
finely woven acid-free, bleed & fade resistant, hand-wrapped linen matte
and finished with a museum quality dark mahogany moropa wood frame.
There is also a specially engraved brass plaque identifying its origin.
Finished piece measures an impressive 30 5/8" W x 26
1/8" H and includes a certificate of authenticity. |
